AbacoSail is wholly local — Bahamian-based, owner-operated, and run from a single dock in the heart of the Abacos. As the fleet grows, that's the part that won't: more boats and more weeks on the calendar, but the same local hands on the lines, and the same people who pick up when you call.
Every catamaran in the fleet is operated by our experienced local management and team — the same hands that maintain her on the dock and sail her in these waters every week. That depth of experience, in these boats and on this water, is what turns a charter into a great week. Lagoons, Balis and a Catspace from 40 to 50 feet, sleeping six to twelve.
Take the helm yourself, sail with a local captain who knows every cut and reef, or invite a full crew aboard and let the week unfold around you.
For experienced sailors. We provision the yacht, brief you in detail on the local waters, and hand you the keys. The Sea of Abaco is sheltered from ocean swell — flat-water sailing that lets you focus on what makes the Bahamas special: reading the colour of the water, picking your way through the cuts, choosing an anchorage by sight. Attentive seamanship, generously rewarded.
Bareboat detailsA local captain joins you for the week. They know every anchorage, every cut between cays, where the fish are biting on each tide, and whose lobster traps to wave hello to rather than tangle in. Local knowledge — without ever feeling like a stranger in your space.
Skippered detailsCaptain, hostess and chef aboard. Wake to fresh coffee on deck, sail to a quiet anchorage, return from a snorkel to a table set with locally caught fish. The most natural way to experience the Abacos — in the works for an upcoming season.
Register interestAbacoSail is led by a very experienced local management team based at Conch Inn. The boats are maintained on the dock they sail from, by the people you'll meet when you check in. Maintenance is preventative, not reactive — built for a long season of guests, not the brochure.
